Been keeping myself busy with schoolworks and 2 choirs these days, while darling is in that little little island. Progress in NUS Choir has been pretty rapid, but not up to expectations, the music comm has set very high expectations for the choir, which is good in a way :) Wild Empire has been having sectionals for the past 3 weeks of practice, SLs all very stressed... opps... can't wait for Miss Ong to return and combine the songs we've learnt!
Had supper with the NUS music comm yesterday, realised that SYC and Amadeus did Cloudburst by Eric Whitacre before! The chords was so nice that ppl actually want to stop singing in order to hear it... hehe... Cluster chords as Adyll mentions... so magical! I'm so hoping that we'll do more Eric's pieces! Wild Empire is doing Hope, Faith, Life, Love... with familiar chords from Cloudburst... ahhh... so nice! Personal hope that "Paradise Lost" will come to Singapore soon... wonder what will be the ticket price then? Hmm...
Anyway I'm still thinking SAM's audi sound is not as good as its hallways for the beautiful chords of hope faith life love... oh well... I couldn't possibly ask the audience to rotate their seats 180degrees and face the hallway right? Oh well... fat hope!
Next week is reading week ler, but I'll still be returning to school 3 days anyway... oh well...
Finally Power98 called me up yesterday for my passport number and expiry date. I'll be leaving SG for Toronto from 11 Oct - 16 Oct for that International Scissors Paper Stone Challenge! LOL... I have less than a month for preparation... oh well... such a last min rush... thanks to CTC Travel. Will need to make some last minute changes in my timetable ler, meanwhile I'll be missing some practices for both choirs ler... =(
