Okay it's not exactly like I'm anti-social or anything...
Just wondering, have anybody else ever felt the same way as I do? Everyday there's 24 hours, but how much time do you actually devote it to yourself, to just spend time on your own...
This few years, I realised that I have been devoting far too much time into my school, my work, my friends, my family, and the other neverending list of commitments...
Well... don't misunderstand me...it is not that I dislike having to commit myself into anything, but it is more like I love committing myself to so many things, such that I develop a sense of belonging in wherever I am, whatever I do, and whoever I know. But the tonnes and loaads of commitment that I'm having outside there deprives myself of the commitment I ought to give to my very self...
Have you ever felt that sometimes it can a pretty enjoyable experience to go out on your own, shop on your own, walk on the beach, watch the clouds, watch the stars, even take a nap... just anything ON YOUR OWN...
Yesterday the blur-as-usual me woke up early in the morning to send my friend off a flight to Melbourne. Reached the airport at 8 plus, only to realise her flight is actually at night (mistaken the PM for AM...)... I dunno why I dun feel frustrated or anything, but suddenly I have to urge to roam around the airport by myself, where nobody knows me...
However as much as I'm loving to myself, there are of course times when I seek to have Terence beside me, times that I seek for a great pal to chat with, times that I want a whole group of friends beside me and we tok-cock, sing song, play mahjong... times that I want to share with my family... and of course times EXCLUSIVELY to myself...
I think it's just finding a balance to them all...
